He's arrested for murder and later sent to fight in the army after committing sexual assault. Something of a tool, and a tool of history, he is captured by the Germans and sent to a concentration camp, where he plots to make his escape by seducing a German officer. Outrageously funny and harrowingly sad, it is one of Lina Wertmuller's most enduring and haunting works. Also starring Fernando Rey. Shown in Italian with English subtitles.

In his rise from a log cabin to wealth and the White House, Millard Fillmore demonstrated that through methodical industry and some competence, an uninspiring man could make the American dream come true."
